My sister married her true love this weekend.
I just LOVE weddings.
There is so much love, and light, and did I mention the LOVE?
Here are a few of my favorites...

Here are a few of my favorites...
If you haven't mailed anything out, you still have time!
Nobody loves you like your mama!
Here are a few of a favorite mama of mine...
Even when your children seem grown they are still your babies!
A pose for me.
A pose for mom.
One for Grandma.
And one she will treasure forever and ever.
When I was little, my extended family would meet each year at the beach for some family time.
My favorite pictures are from those beach weeks.
I so enjoyed this session with this family.
Sometimes large groups can be difficult to wrangle...but they made it so easy and FUN!
What a sweet guy.
I can't look at these pictures without wanting to hold him.
Guh.
My heart goes pitter pat.
There is something about a brand new baby.
I don't remember mine being so little.
Everything just seemed so rushed.
Maybe this is why these pictures have captured my heart.
These moments of newness are so delicate.
They go by so fast.
Each child is different.
And so is each mom.
But 1 thing is always the same:
SO. MUCH. LOVE.
Newborn/Mommy photos.
My new favorite thing.
What is sweeter than a brand new sleepy baby?
Nothing.
All of these shots were captured at 18 hours of life.
In the hospital.
The freshest of the fresh.
With the coolest name of all!
These 2 people are a huge part of my heart.
It's so close to me it's almost hard to share.
But I can't hold back.
I present: THE LOVE.
18 hours old.
Still in his incubator.
It just so happens, Florida Hospital has beautiful natural light in their birth wing.
This is my little buddy Jet.
My BFFs baby.
I love his little face so much!
This kid has incredible eyes.
Every once in a while, I get a kid that I can't wait to see again.
Miss Cora, you top that list...
I am always up for something new.
But something about maternity photos seems, I don't know, forced sometimes?
Yet, THE BELLY.
IT MUST BE PHOTOGRAPHED.
But I wanted to get creative.
Freshen the session.
My model here is the adorable and talented Cat Runyan, who is an amazing photographer and I may be a little bit (ALOT!) smitten with this kitten.
When she pulled out this umbrella I thought I might cry.
I mean, how perfect is this bump?
Motherhood and fairy tales.
Pretty much a brilliant combo.
I am so happy with this series.
I can't wait to shoot the next chapter!
Related: currently looking for a Snow White and an Alice...(pregnant, of course!)
So this project has been on my mind in a crazy kind of way.
Since I first conceived and cast this shoot I have lost sleep on the days I feared I wouldn't pull it off.
But I will be sleeping good tonight.

Funny, it seems SO LONG ago that she had long hair.
(She cut it herself when she was 3.)
So since this photo is from October 2011, she isn't even 2.5 yet here.)
Oh my heart.
::sigh::
They grow up so fast.
And I am so grateful for the pictures like these.
To remind me of lost moments. Replaced moments. Too busy to slow down and enjoy moments.
Don't let your moments slip by.
Document. Document. Document.
Your life is a story you should be able to pick up and flip through.
There are so many ways to share your life with those you love.
Take pictures.
There's 1 in every family...
It almost seems cruel to show you the kind of weather we get all winter...
but I am a SHARER.
Of course the warmest wishes for the holidays come from Florida...
This lovely family gathered in Florida for Grandmother's birthday.
I won't tell you her age, but I can promise she doesn't look it!
It was the 10 year old granddaughter's suggestion that they dance...brilliant!
These 2 could jitterbug like they were 17 again...
Right before Christmas I participated in a TV spot about getting better holiday pictures.
It was LIVE!
And UNREHEARSED!
Two things I realized about 7 minutes before walking onto the set!
Here is the segment.
A big THANK YOU to Emotional MoJo for having me on the show!
Photographer, Karmen Van Derven, shares how to get the best holiday photos possible. Check it out!
A lot of my clients don't live here, but they know how good they look here, so they call me.
I love vacation clients. They feel carefree and beautiful.
And it shows in their photos.
The worst part about vacation clients?
Waiting for them to come back...
